Antique Japanese Meiji period Satsuma ceramic statue of a woman in kimono 29 cm
Antique Japanese Meiji period Satsuma figurine
€ 550
Circa 1890 Japan
A very refined large Satsuma ceramic figurine of a young woman wearing a classical Meiji period (1868-1912) kimono adorned with flowers in multiple colors.
She carries a broom and a lovely half smile and her hair is done up in two buns.
She appears to be in very good condition, possibly a small professional restoration to one red sleef border, but the gilding is overall fine and the polychrome also.
