One of the most famous and sought after woodblock print artists of the Meiji period (1868-1912).
This woodblock print is a wonderful Kabuki portrait of Nakamura Shikan as the warrior Sasaki.
The print has a little dirt in the upper 3 cm, some creasing and a few little holes (see last pictures). But still very good colors.
It sits in a wooden frame behind glass. Highly original print.
