An antique Indo Persian so called Zardozi (Persian words for ‘gold’ and ‘work’) metal embroidery: silver- and goldthread on silk. These embroideries adorned royal tents and were expansive wallhangings. This particular one depicts floral motives, singing birds and peacocks. It’s in good order, but some wear and use, on the silk and the thread. Dim: 92 x 49 cm
