XV-XVIII century Persia
An antique Islamic Safavid period turquoise glazed earthenware vase or pot with black decoration.
This beautiful piece was collected in the beginning of the XX century in Iran and it's provenance is the castle of Turenne in Corrèze France. Bought from the descendants by myself some years ago on the site.
The vase has some damage to the glazing on the body, some lines and on a part of the rim the glazing has gone showing the earthenware underneath. These are old damages.
Splendid colors and a rare piece of history.
