XV/XVI century France. Rare painting on vellum, on the back a musical page from an antiphonarium. Pigments of various color are used to create an intricate scene of a Bishop or saint, holding a miniature Church, sprouting from a fountain surrounded by flowers and insects. The colors are well preserved, some creases and superficial damage but a unique religious piece. Dim: 39 x 25 cm
